What does this mean?
Lucky K9 classifies a dog as a “twilight foster” if the dog is elderly (10+yrs) and/or has terminal medical needs.
In these cases, Lucky K9 Rescue covers the cost of their care for the remainder of their life (vetting, food, incidentals and any necessities for their care).
We have found the likelihood of someone wanting to adopt these dogs is very slim, but it does happen on occasion.
If you are not interested in adopting, but would like to sponsor one of our Twilight Fosters please visit our website and join our Monthly Giving Program, in the comments section please note which dog you would like to sponsor www.luckyk9.org/donations it’s totally OK if you can’t take on the responsibility of adopting or fostering…. Not many people can, that’s why we fundraise!! So our rescue can take in dogs like this.
Please be assured they are in loving, committed foster home and that Lucky K9 Rescue is committed to provide them the medical care they need for the remainder of their life.
